Roads

Subdivision streets and private drives built to carry everyone who lives, works, and delivers along them.

What We Do

Roads in DeSoto County

Road work is paving at a different scale: longer runs, more traffic, and surfaces that have to perform for every vehicle that uses them, from the daily commute to the garbage truck. CDT Contracting Group paves and repairs roads for subdivisions, private communities, and long private drives across DeSoto County, in concrete or asphalt.

On road projects the preparation is most of the story: grading long runs so water sheds off the crown, compacting base that will not rut under repeated axle loads, and sequencing the work so residents can still get in and out. We plan those parts with you before the first truck arrives.

Why It Matters

Why Road Surfaces Fail, and How Ours Are Built Not To

Roads rarely fail from the top down.

They fail from underneath: water gets into the base, the base moves, and the surface follows with cracking, rutting, and potholes. A resurfacing job that ignores the base buys a season or two before the same shapes reappear in the new surface.

Our approach starts below the pavement. Where the base is sound we say so and save you money; where it has failed we address it before covering it up. Either way you hear the reasoning, because a road is a large investment and you should know exactly what you are paying for.
